Self Sign-in Kiosks ("Kiosks") are designed to let customers sign in to classes. Studio customers are not required to sign in in order for the studio to get paid for class enrollment, however, customer sign-in does help studios manage their classes.

For example, you may need to make a decision to remove individual users from the class and replace them with wait-listed customers. Also, for studios that offer unlimited packages and charge customers no-show fees, sign-in helps to view customers that should be flagged as "no-shows".

The self sign-on kiosk offers the following functionality:

  • Customers can use the barcode scanner in the mobile app to check into their classes.

  • Allow the customer to book classes for the current day (as long as they have an active series or contract on their account)

  • Provide the ability for new customers to sign up for the Studio

Enable the booking functionality for the kiosk

Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Studio > Edit next to the studio > Self Sign-in Kiosk Setup button near the bottom of the form. Under 'Kiosk Image', click Yes for 'Allow Booking Classes.'

Additionally, upload an image that will be the background on the sign-in along with a display name, check-in message, and confirmation message. For best practices, click here.

Once the Studio is configured, you will want to add a Kiosk Room Image located in Admin > Configuration > Room > [RoomName]. We recommend uploading a map of the room layout. This is not an interactive map but is used purely for reference.

Here are some other optional settings for your sign in

If you are not seeing the Sign-Up option, reach out to support to confirm the 'Sign Up in Kiosk' is turned on in the System Setting.

To Trigger the Kiosk, log into the zingFit admin from the designated studio Kiosk computer. Click the Sign-in Kiosk button to the top-right of the Booker window.

The system will display the studio Kiosk in a new web browser window. Here are a few items to know:

  1. For security reasons, in the case a studio customer closes the Kiosk window, the admin user is immediately logged out of zingfit. Studio employees should always click "NO" when prompted by the Kiosk computer's web browser to save zingfit admin login information.

  2. If a customer signs in to the Kiosk, after 8 seconds of inactivity, it will log out and revert back to the home page of the Sign-in Kiosk.

  3. Studio customers cannot check in earlier than 45 minutes prior to a scheduled class.

  4. The kiosk does not support check-in where a studio customer is enrolled more than once for any specific class.
