Instructor Profiles

Instructor Profiles are used to manage the public face of your instructors but also to set up their individual payroll.

You can navigate to Instructor Profiles by Admin > People > Instructor Profiles. Create a new Instructor Profile by clicking the + Add Instructor Profile button or edit the existing Instructor Profile by clicking the pencil icon in the blue three-part button to the left of each Bio Name.

  1. The Bio Name is the name that will appear on your zingfit Instructors Page.

  2. The Cal Name is used for display on the class calendar, typically just the first name is used. Each instructor must have a unique Cal Name to point to the Instructor Profile. Instructors with the same first name can add the last initial to differentiate themselves.

  3. The Bio Image is used on the Instructor's Page and can be used in Spot Scheduling to represent the instructor's spot in the class (This image cannot be larger than 3MB)

  4. The Bio Text is used to display blurbs or quotes from your instructors to display on the Instructor's Page.

  5. The Email field is used primarily so that Studios can email the class calendar to instructors via the default sender email. This field can be used to display Instructor profiles pages for full integrations.

  6. For multi-studio installations, studios have the ability to restrict the display of Instructor information to specific studios/sites on the website.

Best Practices:

  1. It is possible to view an instructor's calendar in the Instructor Profile section. You can click on the calendar next to the instructor's name.

  2. As a rule, studios should NOT GIVE INSTRUCTORS ACCESS TO ADMIN > PEOPLE > PAYROLL. This would permit the instructor to see payroll for all employees.
