Utilizing the Time Clock

zingFit supports Hourly Staff clock-in and clock-out. If hourly rates are set for employees, zingFit will calculate payroll amounts for a specified period. The Time Clock function is found in the Booker by clicking the gear icon next to the staff members name at the left of the main navigation bar.

  1. Clock In / Clock Out - employees can Clock In to start tracking time. When clocked in, the link title will change to Clock Out.* Users must be logged into the system to Clock in (time will continue to be tracked if a user logs out but does not Clock Out of the Time Clock.**

  2. Time Log - displays time log detail for individual staff member their time logs for a date range

  3. Payroll - this option will only appear if this user is tied to an Instructor and will show the individual Instructor payroll for a date range. See Instructor Payroll

*Read about zingFit's System Access Restrictions to learn how to restrict your Clock In and Out at only Authorized computers. **Where there are multiple employees that need to clock in, the first user must log out, the second user login, then Clock In, the logout, and the first user can log back in. The simple alternative to this is to have the second user either use a different web browser on the same computer or use another computer/device to Clock In.

If a user has been assigned a role with "Manage Time Clock" enabled this user will be able to clock other users in and out by clicking the same icon as above.

Viewing and Editing Studio Time Logs

  • To view and edit hourly time logs click Admin> People under Employees click> Time Logs

  • To edit click on the pencil icon to the left of the date. In the Time Tracker, the Start End/Date and Time can be manually adjusted (in cases where an employee was present but forgot to clock in/out at the appropriate times, simply have them clock in and out, then change to the intended times).

  • Employee notes can be added when the User clocks themselves out for example "forgot to clock in at 10 am please adjust"

  • To ensure staff members are clocking out at the end of each day studios can access the Open Time Logs. no actions can be performed in this report, it's simply a list of all users who have not clocked out. Click Admin >People > under Employees click> Open Time Logs

Payroll Reporting

Hourly Rates, Total Hours, Overtime Rate and Commission are calculated to total Wages for each eligible Staff member in the Hourly Payroll Report for a date range resulting in a total calculation called Wages.
