Change the Expiration Date on a Series

The zingFit system does not let studios edit the expiration date of customer series and contract. However, by controlling the activation date, studios can effectively change the expiration. Series activation dates can be changed at purchase in the Take Payment screen. Activation dates can be changed for existing series by following directions here > Editing Customer Contracts and Series

Note that it is possible to change the expiration date of all active Series through the Series' set up page. Unlike a Contract, where changes made in its setup page will only affect new contracts going forward, changing the expiration date for the Series in its set up page does affect the expiration date for all active Series (in one fell swoop), as well as those going forward.

Furthermore, it is possible to protect a Series from expiring prior to being activated. Simply use the Days to Expire if not Active field and type in a number of days further out than the default expiration for the Series. Keep in mind that the number of days should be less that 256.

What does series expiration mean for booking?

With a series, customers are free to book classes that occur up to and on expiration day; however, they will need to advance book classes that occur on expiration day, as once expiration day arrives, classes can no longer be booked for that day.

With a contract, customers are free to book classes that occur up to and on expiration + the days set in the Recurring Days to Extend system setting.
