Card Reader Troubleshooting Steps

To make sure that the card reader is working, please do the following to troubleshoot:

  1. Open a blank note document, This should not be Word as Word may cause issues through these troubleshooting steps.

  2. Make sure that you have clicked on the new page (i.e.: The cursor must be active on the page)

  3. Swipe a card in the card reader. If you see the card data appear on the document, then we will escalate this to our development team to troubleshoot the register. If no card data appears, then the card reader is faulty and must be replaced by BarCodesInc.
