Mobile Card terminals allow for mobile transactions, in addition to Card Present payment processing, since the transactions occur in an external app from zingfit, and are simply recorded in the zingfit Register via a dummy payment method
For clients utilizing a Stripe Gateway (U.S. & Canada only)
For clients using Stripe payment processing, Stripe integrates with Innerfence. You will need to request from zingfit a dummy payment type called "innerFence" for your check-out Register. Then the process flow would look like this:
Studio customer walks in for a retail purchase
The studio proceeds to the Register via the customer's account and proceeds to add items to the cart and then clicks to Take Payment.
The studio employee runs the customer credit card via the InnerFence app.
Then clicks on the "InnerFence" payment type in zingfit to close the sale transaction in the zingfit system.
To create an Innerfence account at a deeply discounted rate available only to zingfit clients, please visit https://www.innerfence.com/zingfit
By signing up using the link above, clients will receive a mobile credit card terminal, as well as a discounted rate of $25 per month per terminal.
For additional information about Innerfence, please refer to the following article: https://www.innerfence.com/support
For clients utilizing an Authorize.net gateway
For other retail sales, where studios expect a high volume of walk-ins who are not already customers and are not interested to get registered in the zingfit system, it may make sense to set up a separate payment terminal. Studios can achieve this inexpensively by acquiring these three items:
Tablet/smartphone
Authorize.net app (free) http://www.authorize.net/solutions/merchantsolutions/merchantservices/mobileapp/
nClose credit card reader (nClose calls it a "shuttle device", $43 at this writing) -- https://posenclosures.com/authnet/
(for UK studios, there is the option of the NBX_Mobile_POS solution starting at £99 - terminal options can be viewed here). You will need to request from zingfit a custom payment type called "nClose" for your check-out Register. Then the process flow would look like this:
Studio customer walks in for a retail purchase
The studios access the pre-made "POS Customer" account and proceed to the Register to add items to the cart and then clicks to Take Payment.
The studio employee runs the customer credit card via a nClose-equipped tablet/phone terminal
Then clicks on the "nClose" payment type in zingfit to close the sale transaction in the zingfit system
For reconciliation purposes, all nClose payments will be listed as a separate line item in the Sales By Payment type report.
