This article covers refinement of how System Emails are sent to studio customers. There are a number of addresses configured in the basic zingFit system (not using SHOP) for any single-studio installation.

  1. Purchases (Configuration > Studio > [site name] > Purchases Email)

  2. Reservations (Configuration > Studio > [site name] > Reservations Email)

  3. Manager (Configuration > Studio > [site name] > Manager Email)

  4. Default Sender (Configuration > System Settings > Default Mail Sender)

  5. Inventory Alert Email (Configuration > System Settings > Inventory Alert Email)

  6. Customer Export Alert Email (Configuration > System Settings > Customer Export Alert Email)

1. Purchase Emails

All purchases made in the system are sent to the email address set at Configuration > Studio > [site name] > Purchases Email). These emails CAN NOT be turned off so zingFit recommends that studios set up a separate email into which these email messages can flow (ex: purchases@fitness-studio.com). Otherwise, the purchase email address is set as a sender/return address for the following system emails:

  • Shop - Shipping Confirmation

  • Contract Renewal

  • Contract on Debit

  • Contract Billing Failed

  • Contract Expired

  • Contract Expiring

  • Series Class Count Low

2. Reservation Emails

All bookings made in the system are sent to the email address set at Configuration > Studio > [site name] >Reservations Email. zingFit recommends that studios set up a separate email into which these email messages can flow (ex: reservations@fitness-studio.com). Studio booking emails CAN be turned off via System Settings -- to do so please contact support. Otherwise, the reservation email address is set as a sender/return address for the following system emails:

  • Series Expired

  • Series Expiring

  • Workshop Attendance Cancelled

  • Workshop Booked

  • Booking Confirmation

  • Booked From Waitlist

  • Waitlisted

  • Attendance Cancelled

  • Class Cancelled

  • Attendance Reminder - Please note that customers can unsubscribe from this email and that doing so will not unsubscribe them from other system emails.

3. Manager Emails

The manager email is displayed only on the studio contact page and the printable schedule

4. Default Sender Emails

The default sender emails are used anywhere that a message can't be tied to a specific studio. Here are examples.

  • Birthday Greeting

  • First Visit

  • First Visit Anniversary

  • Instructor Weekly Schedule

  • Refer A Friend

  • Substitute Reminder

  • Credit Card Expiring

  • Referral Reward

  • Inventory Alert Email

  • Customer Export Alert Email

The New Customer Email sent upon successful registration of a new customer uses the default mail sender email UNLESS a preferred location is set on the studio form, in which case it uses the reservations email. Note that the new customer email CAN NOT be disabled. zingFit recommends that studios set up a separate email into which these email messages can flow (ex: studio-emails@fitness-studio.com).

5. Inventory Alert Email

Sent when product inventory level reaches the reorder point set on each product (Admin > Scheduling/Retail > Products)

6. Customer Export Alert Email

Sent when any user of the system exports the customer list (Admin > People > Customers)
