The Customer Retention Report is a very useful tool for understanding trends of customer retention both for new customers and returning customers.

*Please note, the Customer Retention report updates overnight, and so enrollment data cannot be viewed for same-day

The only parameter that needs to be set is the date range. In order to help understand the reporting terminology, the parameters set for this example are Oct 10, 2018, to Oct 14, 2018
โ€‹

First Time: Students whose first-ever class was taken between Oct 10, 2018, and Oct 14, 2018

First Time Retained: For students whose first class was sometime between Oct 10 & Oct 14 + they've taken a second class since Oct 14th

First Time Not Retained: For students whose first class was sometime between Oct 10 & Oct 14 + they have not been back since Oct 14th

Repeat: Students for whom the class they attended on Oct 10, 2018, was not their first time (so maybe it was their 2nd, or 3rd, or 50th, etc)

Repeat Retained: The "repeat" student above who took their, let's say 50th class on Oct 10th, has taken another class since Oct 14th

Repeat Not Retained: The "repeat" student above who took their, let's say 50th class on Oct 10th, has not taken another class since Oct 14th

Total: Altogether, the classes that have been taken by all students at the studio between Oct 10, 2018, and Oct 14, 2018

Total Retained: Of all of those students who came between Oct 10th-14th, the number that has come again to take classes since Oct 14th
