Social Deal Promotions can be used in conjunction with a social marketing company like Groupon or Living Social. To create a Social Deal, go to Admin > Scheduling/Retail > Promotions > +Add Social Deal.

Each Social Deal will require a Name. This is for internal use only and will be used for internal reporting. For the Discount Type, you can select based on a Percentage or Flat rate.

Start and End Date fields are the date and time constraints placed on each individual promotion. If no dates are provided, the promotion will run by default for seven days from the date of creation. If you want a promotion to start immediately and last forever, we recommend setting the Start Date to the day before the promotion was created and the End Date several years ahead. Many social deals allow redemption for 90 days after purchase so be sure to accommodate those terms.

In the Series field, select the Series that you are offering as part of the deal. It is possible to offer off-line series as part of a Social Deal. However, you can not offer a recurring-billing contract in social deals because it requires a card on file.

The Social Deal Price is what you get paid per voucher from the social platform provider.

In the Voucher Codes text box, paste in the codes provided by your platform provider. Make sure to request the codes in advance before activating the social deal. You can add more Voucher Codes to the deal at any time. Our system will disable each voucher code as it is redeemed.

Reporting

Social Deals add a new 'social deal' payment type on the Sales by Payment Type report. There is no reconciliation in the zingFit system to note payment received from social deal organizations; this must be reconciled outside of the zingfit system.
