After building a Google Analytics (GA) property, you’ll want to start recording goals. A goal is any website action you want your customers to take, such as signing up for a class. By recording goals in GA, you will be able to understand conversion rates across different user dimensions, helping you market more effectively.

Setting Up Destination-Based Goals

Destination (i.e., page view) goals record all visits to key pages on your site. The most common examples on zingfit are the destinations of Account Creation and Booking Success.

  1. Go to: GA > Admin > Goals

  2. Click “New Goal”

  3. Under “Goal Setup,” click “Custom”

  4. Name your goal and choose the goal type “Destination”

  5. Under “Goal Details,” choose Destination > Regular Expression

  6. Type the regular expression for the goal you’re creating:Account Creation is (.*)accountcreated(.*)Booking Success is (.*)booksuccess(.*)

  7. Click “Save”

Setting Up Other Goal Types

If you’re interested in other goal types, such as event-based goals, you’ll need to implement Google Tag Manager (GTM) and use it to send the appropriate data to Google Analytics. zingfit offers GTM as a built-in tracking option.

We also offer advanced GTM support through paid, 3rd-party consultation and development support, please use our web dev request form specifying what you would like us to do around additional events: http://support.zingfit.com/en/articles/4336314-web-development-requests
