Step 1: The DUNS Number

Before going any further, ensure your company has a DUNS number as shown in this article: https://support.zingfit.com/en/articles/4706149-obtaining-a-duns-number-for-your-mobile-app

This is the most important step you can do to speed up the app process!

Applying for the DUNS number takes about 15 minutes but it can take up to 5 weeks to receive and activate the number. Therefore you should apply for the DUNS number as soon as possible.

Step 2: Apple Organization Developer Account

If you already have an Apple Developer account you may skip to the "Add zingfit to your Dev Team" section. If not, click here to learn more.

Step 2a: Add zingfit to your Dev Team

After your Apple account is approved please add us to your dev team as shown below.

  • Log into your account via the "Account" tab

  • Once logged in, click on 'People', on the left-hand tab. Click to go to the AppStoreConnect to finish the invite.

  • Click the blue "+" tab. This indicates adding an invite.

  • You will then see a pop up asking for the information for zingfit.

  • In the first name field, enter "zing"For the last name field, enter "fit"

  • For the email address, please enter mobileapp.ZingFitnessStudios@zingfit.com

  • Under "Roles" click "admin"Under "Additional Resources", please check all boxes as shown in the pic

  • Then click "Invite".

Step 3: Setting up your assets in the Mobile App Dashboard:

To navigate to your Mobile App Select Admin > Configuration > Mobile App.

This will bring you to the Mobile App Dashboard. Once on the Dashboard, click “New App” to begin building your app. New App can be found in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

If the Store Setting tab is missing please reach out to your onboarding coach if in onboarding or support if you have left onboarding to add this setting.

You will then see the following tabs appear: “Store Info”, “App Settings”, and “Publish”.

To begin building your app, navigate to the first tab, “Store Info”, then complete the form. Please see the Store Info article for reference.

Once the Store Info tab form is complete, continue onto “App Settings”, then complete the form. Please see the App Settings article for reference.

Submitting your Assets:

Once all assets have been completed and you are satisfied with the assets, you will then want to click “publish” on the dashboard. This submission sends an alert to the mobile app team that your are ready for us to begin your app build.

Additional info: Testing and Reviewing your app:

Once your iOS build is completed and accepted by Apple, you will receive an email from Apple to begin testing your app with testflyght. Apple only sends 1 invite (to the email on file) to test. If you would like to have others participate in testing, you can reach out to the mobile app team through your ticket to request. You will need to provide an email address for every individual to participate in testing.

The zingfit mobile app team will send you the APK file link to begin testing the Android/Google Play app.

The testing process allows you to review and test the app to determine if there are any bugs and if any design changes need to be made. You will want to be sure to thoroughly review & test each app. In the case of needing something fixed after going live, it will take longer to turn around than if you communicate this fix prior to launching the app.

Publishing your Apps:

Once any changes/fixes have been applied (if applicable), Apple will need to review your iOS app. This process may take several days as Apple is very particular regarding apps. Once Apple completes its review, your iOS app is then ready to publish.

Google Android is not as particular as Apple, thus as soon as changes & fixes are applied, we can submit them for publication, and this process is relatively quick and usually completed within 48 hours.

Apps do take approximately 1 hour to appear in the App stores, following publication.

Following Publication & Helpful Information:

Changes that you can make to your app, through the admin:
