In this article we will explore how Migration Credits are used and how it applies to your system after a Migration from MindBody.

During the migration process, clients that had previously expended a credit in MBO to book into a class will need to make sure they retain that class position during the migration to zingfit. In order to do this zingfit generates a series called 'Migration Credits' that are used as 'placeholders' to maintain that clients historical spot position.

Let's use this client from a real MBO migration as an example.

We can see that this client has 68 Credits attributed to the Migration Credit Series under the Private Appointments Series Type.

The first thing to note when looking at this is; that the Activation/Purchase date of the migration credits should reflect the date of your migration. The next thing to note is that these credits are expired, you are unable to book into anything with these as they act as simple placeholders.

So where did the number 68 come from and how can we verify that everything said so far is correct?

Let's use the ID associated with this series to do some investigation. In this instance, the ID is 1047955169884505459. That's a bit of a mouthful, so let's check the last four digits of that ID, 5459.

Once we have that ID to look for, let's navigate to the 'Attendance' tab of our customer profile. This will give us insight into what series was used to book into what class.

Once we've navigated to the attendance page, we're going to look in the right column for series ID ending in the last four digits, 5459.

As we can see, there are Pilates and Cycling classes booked using a migration credit that was settled under the Private Appointments Series Type. That means that these classes were booked into prior to the migration to zingfit.

Migration Credits have no relation to the series type they are assigned to, they are simply meant to act as placeholders to transfer existing class placements over to zingfit.
