The Intranet can provide a portal for instructors to view their upcoming classes along with important information on those attending the classes. Additionally, you can share messages on important news, updates, and internal conversations.
To begin the setup, navigate to Admin > Configuration > Intranet Settings & Access.
When setting up the Intranet for the first time, the system will ask you how you would like to display the Instructor Roster View. Below are images of how each view will look:
Customer Info
Sign-in Sheet
While you might find benefits in each view, we recommend using the Customer Info view. Specifically, we suggest creating an Instructor Role that only has access to the Intranet. This way the Instructor can log in and view their class schedule and important class information but does not have access to the booker, scheduler, and other zingfit sections.
The classes that are displayed in the Intranet for the Instructors are ones they are assigned to and in the future. The number of classes shown is based on the 'Reservable Days' setting that is set for the public-facing schedule. This can be changed by navigating to Admin > Configuration > System Settings > Booking.
If 'Reservable Days' is changed, it will affect the number of days that are accessible to your customers to reserve a class. This change will impact your public schedule and the Intranet.
Messages
The Messages section within the Intranet is used as a digital bulletin board for your internal users. While the roster view is just for Instructors, any internal user can use the messaging feature.
To create a message, go to Admin > Configuration > Intranet > Messages + Add Message to communicate any internal updates or notifications.
In the Message setting, fill out the required fields including Title, Message, Posting Date, and Expiration Date. The Sticky option is set to yes it will stick the message at the top of the Intranet portal. Additionally, you can select which studio can view the message.
Once you select 'Save' the message will display (when the Posting date is current) and will remove the message on the Expiration Date and time.
